This service call was for a "free" extended warranty check. The service man recommended maintenance which I agreed to but didn't fully understand the cost. I thought it was a total of $79 for rollers but also was charged $185 for a tune up. I probably needed all of it but the free service cost me $264 today.

I originally had the technician come to inspect my 20 year old garage opener. But when he told me that he could install a new one immediately for $399.00 I was very happy. He said that my opener would eventually wear out and I would need a new one in the future. He didn't pressure me. He had a new one in his truck and installed it right away. He was very polite and courteous.

Really good experience. I was a bit concerned however that one technician had to take down a garage door by himself and then load it onto his company van. The door taken out was wood and was quite heavy. It would seem to me that there was a good chance of injury with one guy doing this himself. Other than that, which is not insignificant, we had a real good experience.
