None of the terms of the agreement were discussed when we purchased the agreement. When we purchased the agreement, no one told us their would be a "WAITING" period before the agreement went into effect. I gave to review the terms of the agreement regarding ALL covered items, as no one explained them on the telephone. This might make me decide to cancel the agreement. As far as I am concerned, I was DUPED and will pass that along to anyone who askes me about the Home Warranty Agreement.

Scheduling was challenging. The garage techs are in our area only 2 days a week. And a four hour window is too long. Aslo, this was a second visit; the first visit left me with questions and NO receipt. I did feel that some effort was made to help me with the over all cost of changing out the 1/2 power garage door opener. That part was ok, and both techs were efficient.

I found it unprofessional and unsafe that he was in an unmarked car with out of state plates. He was on his phone for the entire time. . I asked him a very basic question about a button on the keypad, and not only did he not know about it but he swore it doesn't do what it does. He wrote my cReddit card number on a scratch of paper. He was supposed to text me the reciept but it took hours. It came cut off and had the wrong warranty info. He resent it crossed out.

I know I had an extra job to do with the wood trim around the garage door opening that took additional time and effort, I do appreciate that it was handled. My only concern is that the quality of the pieces of wood used (pre primed store bought) so there are several places that could have looked better. Also, there are hammer marks that have dented the new wood around the nails that how mar the new wood. I am trying to sell the house and don't want new buyers to pick on these blemishes since it's brand new and installed this way. For future ref. I would probably hire a carpenter to do this type of 'extra' work and let Sears install the door only. Thank you.

I had some confusion of the process with getting my garage door repaired, but every time I call the garage department everything was straightened out. I especially want to thank Mr. Raymond Gonzales!!!!! He was very knowledgeable of the various garage doors and the process for getting the garage fix. Mr. Gonzales was able to find a nice garage door in my price range that fits my needs. I can feel safe now! He was very helpful with finding a time that would fit my needs to getting the garage fix. The service technician, Pepe Bravo, was very competent and professional. I highly recommend this particular service technician. The big problem I experienced was with the appointment scheduling. First, I could not understand the Sears rep who made my service appointment. Second, the time of the appointment was not clearly defined. I had to be home for half of my work day to wait for the technician (who arrived after the appointed 2 hour window because he was coming from Lorton, VA for a job in MD - too far!!!) then had to be home for another long time period for the tech to access and complete the job, which he completed efficiently, but I was already very late for work! The cumbersome and unreliable scheduling process would prevent me from choosing and recommending Sears in the future. Thank goodness the tech was a professional who did his best to make sure I was a satisfied customer.

I am very displeased with the cost to have the work done, This was a warranty item installed by your company and less than a year old. First I had to pay for your bad product and then the cost was doubled what was quoted by you call center. This took 15 min to do and cost 150.00, I was quoted 75.00. To me this is a crime.

Would have appreciated the technician to have explained in better detail about the quality of the first doors we received in our home. The garage doors that were installed recently were an upgrade. I would have selected the better quality of doors with the first installation if it had been explained in better detail and time of decision with the first doors. But, I really love the doors that were recently installed! Explained much better with the new doors. A panel was defective. it took 4 weeks to have the panel replaced. The Technician who replaced the panel could not program the key pads. Another technician came out and programed the key pad, 3 days later. However, the two extra remotes did not get programed. I will have to call and set up a time for this to happen. It took 3 visits and a month to get the doors operating properly and I still have one more call to make to get the extra remotes to work. Also, I was charged in full after the initial install, even though I couldn't operate one of the doors until a month later. Disappointing.

The team that came to install the garage doors and openers were very friendly, knowledgeable. However, they left dirt marks all over the new doors and trim. I was surprised that it was not cleaned. I strongly recommend that your team wear gloves while installing white and or any doors so stains or dirt does not stick. I had to spend the rest of the afternoon cleaning.

I was supposed to have a new garage motor installed, however the technician told me that I didn't need a new motor and that he just needed to increase the sensitive button and all will be good. So, I paid the $99 dollars for him to turn a button, that still does not work!! I will wait another couple of days and if I have to call and have an technician come out and have to pay another $99 dollars I am going to be PISSED!!!

Two issues: We were told the sales person we could have the install done on a Saturday. Once ordered, we were pressured to accept a day during the week, forcing my wife to take a day off from work. Additionally, the sales rep upsold us on door handles (approx $300 more); however, the door we ordered did not accomodate such handles. We refused delivery and are awaiting the refund.

Could not understand that but would like more info on the home warranty thing. Had to call back and talk to another person who was very good. I would have given him a 5 on everything if he had returned to add the additional piece (a piece that is fixed to the door frame for better insulation) to my door on the outside on the day he said he would come back. The piece he brought was of wrong color and he said he would be back with the right color the first day after New Year's Day to put up the piece. I hope he can come back soon.

I would like to personally like to thank Chris for his outstanding service. He was there every step of the way! He kept me informed thoughout the whole process. From the inital site visit to installation he was on point and on site. I contacted several garage door companies here in the Jacksonville area to have 3 garage doors installed and was treated poorly. Some companies didnt even return my calls or just gave broken promises. Sears was just the opposite. I requested more than 1 quote and received them as promised. I knew after meeting with Chris that I had made the right choice. Without question I know who I will call for all my garage door needs from now. The only glitch in the installation came when the correct panels were not delivered so Justin was not able to complete the job when he had hoped. However, he was very good about telling me about the problem and giving me a time frame for when the installation would be complete. He also made it possible for me to have a functioning door until the new panels arrived. He was a very pleasant and competent worker and I enjoyed the process and hope he continues to provide this service.

Nate was very courteous and professional and called to let me know that he was about 30 minutes from my house. I had purchased a new Sears garage door opener, but when Nate arrived at my home, he inspected the existing unit and told me that it was still in good shape except for a worn out part. Nate procured the new part and brought it to my home this morning. The unit was repaired in about 10 minutes! The existing unit was just over five years old, so I'm glad I will get some more use out of it.

We couldn't have been happier with the technician. He was prompt, efficient, didn't complain about moving items to do the installation, cleaned up after himself, was polite and thorough. He seemed very sure of exactly what to do next. As a favor, he took a couple of minutes to remove a light globe to replace a bulb since he had the ladder in the garage because we can't get to it. My door was installed in December. Some of the wrong items were loaded on the truck for installation. The technician had to return to the warehouse to get the right parts. Upon installation, it was determined the door was measured wrong by a Sears rep. A window panel was offered to correct the error. We still have not gotten the window, and no one has called to keep us informed as to when we might get the window.

The weather was very cold the morning of the install so it took longer than expected. Also from what I understand he ran into some issues that he had not counted on that took longer. He did save some expense on my part being able to use the current tracking I already hd, which I really appreciate. My biggest problem is that I don't smoke and no one smokes inside my home. While he was installing my door, I could smell cigarette smoke and can still smell the smoke when I enter my house. I don't have a problem with someone smoking but I think it would be common courtesy to step outside to their truck.

ryan was way more than early when he showed up. ryan gave me a straight up, not nonsensical "ah..ah..." like someone making up a story to listen to. direct and to the point, like a professional, gave me my options that i could present to the boss. the boss didn;t like the price of the new rollers. but she loves that it doesn't sound like a tank coming home from war. we were completely unprepared for this, so, it's good we got a guy like ryan.

The garage door was installed incorrectly. The top panel tilts back by an inch. I asked for someone to come out to reevaluate, and he did, but then he said I should talk to Ken (the manager) about getting it corrected. He said the stops should have been reset, or a slightly shorter door installed (6'9" tall instead of 7"). I have called the manager and left messages, but I have not been called back. I would say this is unacceptable customer service.

Sears was to completely replace the old Sears garage door openers with new Garage door openers. But they did not replace some of the old components. That is not acceptable; Sears to REPLACE old systems with NEW COMPONENTS.
